Every plan includes the full product — the builder, campaigns, journeys, conversational AI, analytics and the API. Plans differ by how many people you can reach, not by what you can do.
A subscriber is someone who has opted in and has a valid mobile number.
Plans and rates on this page cover delivery to US mobile numbers. Sending outside the US is priced per country — talk to our enterprise team.
Your plan includes an allowance of each. Here's what uses them — and what doesn't change them.
Anything you send. Plain text up to 160 characters, or rich media like an image, video, carousel or rich card. It delivers as RCS, or falls back to SMS or MMS if the device can't receive RCS.
Each one uses a single message from your plan, whichever way it delivers — and a 15 MB video counts exactly the same as a one-line text.
A conversation triggers after 4 messages have been exchanged with the customer and your channel. 3 messages and under is just considered messages.
The whole 24-hour window then uses a single conversation — including the four messages that started it, and no messages after.
Then nothing changes. If you send 100,000 media messages to a list that's 100% RCS-capable, or one that's 0% RCS-capable, and it draws exactly the same 100,000 messages from your plan — and costs the same if you go beyond it.
The handoff itself is patented nativeMsg technology: we detect what messsage type each device can receive and route every message down the best channel available to it, without you building or maintaining a second delivery path. Approximately 90% of the US is RCS capable, so the vast majority of your send lists will receive the updated messaging.
Everything above is included in what you already pay. These rates apply only to usage beyond your plan — there's no spend cap to configure and no hard stop to discover at the worst possible moment.
| Beyond what's included | What happens | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Text message | Keeps sending. | $0.016 |
| Media message | Keeps sending. | $0.036 |
| Conversation | Keeps running — still one charge for the whole 24 hours. | $0.120 |
| Media above 15 MB | Sends. Cost shown in the composer before you send. | $0.002 / MB |

Carrier surcharges and pass-through fees are already inside every number on this page — your monthly plan and the rates above. They never appear as a separate line on your invoice and they don't move month to month when carrier rates change. This is the part worth checking when you compare quotes: a cheaper published rate elsewhere is usually a message rate with carrier fees added later, which is why those proposals and their invoices disagree.
The only carrier costs quoted separately are one-time sender registration and your fallback number — both below, at cost.
Charged once per sender, at cost. This is mobile carrier vetting and activation — it isn't a nativeMsg margin line.
You need two things: a branded RCS agent, which is the verified identity your customers see instead of an unknown number, and a fallback number, which is the phone number your SMS and MMS come from when a device can't receive RCS. There are two kinds of fallback numbers, and the difference matters.
| Sender | Setup | Monthly | What you get | Live in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RCS agent — test mode | $0 | $0 | Build it, brand it, send it to 5 registered devices. | Minutes |
| RCS agent — launched | $600covered on annual, Growth and up | Includedyour first agent — each additional agent is $50/mo | Your verified brand, logo and name delivered to real customers. | Weeks |
| Regular phone numberthe industry calls this 10DLC — a 10-digit long code | $100 | $25 | An ordinary 10-digit number, the kind a person would text you from. Carries your SMS and MMS to anyone who can't receive RCS. The right choice for almost everyone. | Days |
| Short codethe 5-digit numbers on TV and packaging | $1,500 | from $500 | A memorable 5-digit number, like the “text JOIN to 12345” you see in ads. Worth it only when you're advertising the number itself — otherwise it does the same job for far more money. | 6–8 weeks |
Without one, messages to non-RCS devices don't deliver at all. If you're not sure which to pick, pick the regular phone number. It takes days instead of weeks, costs a fraction as much, and reaches exactly the same people. A short code only earns its price when the number is a memorable or custom number (ie. 30303) or part of an advertising campaign — printed on a billboard, read out loud in audio placements, put on packaging.

If you're a platform, ISV or carrier that wants to send RCS through our infrastructure rather than use our campaign tools, that's a different product and a different price. You get the plumbing — API, carrier connectivity, verified sender provisioning, delivery and our patented SMS/MMS fallback — and you build the experience on top. Priced on volume, quoted case by case.
Someone who has opted in and has a valid mobile number. Subscribers are the only thing that sets your plan; within a tier you can send as much or as little as you like.
They still get your message. Our patented fallback detects what the device can receive and hands the message to SMS or MMS automatically. It uses the same single message from your plan either way, and costs the same if you're past your plan. Your bill doesn't move with RCS penetration.
A message is a single send, and it uses one message from your plan. A conversation is what an exchange becomes once it reaches four rich messages within 24 hours, including at least two from your customer and at least one from you. At that point the entire 24-hour window — measured from the first message in the sequence, and including the four that triggered it — uses a single conversation instead of counting message by message.
So a broadcast that gets a single “STOP” or a one-word reply never becomes a conversation — those are just messages. A genuine support thread does, and the whole day costs you one conversation no matter how long it runs.
Nothing stops. Messages and conversations keep flowing and bill at the published rates. The only thing that requires action is subscribers — go past your plan's count and we'll reach out within 48 hours to move you up. Your campaigns keep running in the meantime.
No. Carrier surcharges and pass-through fees are already inside $0.016, $0.036 and $0.120 — there's no separate carrier line on your invoice and no adjustment when carrier rates change. The only carrier costs billed separately are one-time sender registration and your fallback number, both shown in the Setup table at cost.
It's worth checking this when you compare us against another quote. A lower published per-message rate frequently excludes carrier fees, so the effective cost lands higher than the number in the proposal.
Yes, but not on these plans. Everything priced on this page covers delivery to US mobile numbers. International rates vary carrier by carrier and country by country, so we quote them individually rather than publish a single number — talk to our enterprise team and we'll price your destinations.
You can build and test today, for free, in minutes. Reaching real customers means carrier verification of your brand — a few weeks for a branded RCS agent, plus a few days for a regular 10-digit fallback number. Short codes take 6–8 weeks, so only choose one if you genuinely need a five-digit number.
Yes. An RCS agent on its own can't reach devices that don't support RCS — those messages simply don't deliver. A fallback number is where your SMS and MMS come from, and a regular 10-digit number (what the industry calls 10DLC) costs $100 to set up and $25/mo. It's the reason your first campaign reaches everyone. Once it's attached, our patented fallback handles the routing for you — you send once and we pick the channel per device.
Two months free on every plan. From Growth up, we also cover the $600 setup on your first agent — which makes the first year of Growth $7,990 against $10,188 paying monthly.
Put your logo on a real RCS agent and send it to yourself in minutes — no card, no call. Pay when you're ready to reach customers.
